With the development of our country economy in recent years,the living standards of the people had been greatly improved,which bring electricity demand is becoming more and more,and the situation of peak power supply has not been solved well.Demand side management by realize the improvement of efficiency of the end-use equipment,optimization of the habit of energy utilization,reduction of the power consumption and energy demand,aslo achievement stable operation of the power system,and problems of power supply shortage in load peak and low equipment utilization rate in load valley can be solved.The main contents of this paper are as following.Firstly,an appropriate object of research had been selected,which load was analyzed.Through the load analysis of object(island in Fujian Province),daily period characteristic curve,weekly period characteristic curve,annually period characteristic curve,holiday characteristic curve and weather characteristic curve were given.The load forecasting model was established,which multi-dimensionally considering with effect of season,temperature and weather conditions these three elements on short-term load.Load on the island in Fujian Province was forecasted based on neural network trained by error back propagation algorithm.The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the method.Then,combined with the status and condition of power supply and demand and energy efficiency,energy efficiency potential and shift peak potential of the island were studied and analyzed.Besides,the energy efficiency of electric vehicles is studied,and the electric vehicle charging load model and charging influence on load curve were presented.Finally,according to the analysis of energy efficiency potential,measures for improving power efficiency based on demand side management were proposed.It mainly includes three aspects:improvement of the utilization efficiency of power assets,improvement of the power consumption ratio of electrical terminal and optimization of energy utilization on tourism.A series of scheme was put forward,which includes energy-saving reconstruction,implementation of time-of-use price policy,management of interruptible load,promotion of thermal storage and ice storage technology and electric vehicle charging orderly.
