The Wenchuan M8.0 earthquake occurred in May 12,2008.Beichuan county is one of the two meizoseismal areas with eleven degrees of intendity of the Wenchuan earthquake.The object of this thesis is a RC frame structure,Qin Zhiyong comprehensive building,which was under construction in Beichuan county.Other RC frame structures of Beichuan county were badly damaged,but the degree of destruction of the Qin Zhiyong RC frame structure is very small.The earthquake damage is mainly concentrated in the the elevator shaft and the vicinity of the elevator shaft.In this paper,the seismic performance of the frame structure is analyzed by the combination of finite element numerical calculation and theoretical analysis.Finite element numerical calculation is realized by ETABS software,and the internal force of the RC frame structure under the action of Wenchuan earthquake wave is calculated,namely the effect value of ultimate state of bearing capacity of the column.The theoretical analysis is realized in the form of hand calculation by the formulas,and the bearing capacity of the RC frame structure under the action of Wenchuan earthquake wave is calculated,namely the resistance value of ultimate state of bearing capacity of the column.The ultimate anti-seismic capacity of the RC frame structure is analyzed from normal section and oblique section respectively.Heoretical analysis shows that the the elevator shaft and the vicinity of the elevator shaft of this frame structure are Weak parts.The results of theoretical analysis are in agreement with the actual earthquake damage.So it explains the damage of this frame structure in Wenchuan M8.0 earthquake.By means of theoretical analysis,this paper studies its response to Wenchuan seismic input,in order to reveal the mechanism of seismic response in depth,thus the weak components of the RC frame structure can be judged,and then provide reference for future RC frame structure seismic design.
