Pennisetum-gypsum wall material is a new type of wall material which combines the desulfurization gypsum and the plant fiber,which has the characteristics of lightweight,environmental protection,thermal insulation and sound isolation.Pennisetum is a new type of plant cultivated locally in Changsha,which has the characteristics of fast growth and high carbon sequestration efficiency.In this paper,the wall material can be used to enhance the function of wall materials and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions.In this paper,the apparent density,flexural strength,compressive pressure,thermal conductivity,heat transfer coefficient and sound insulation parameters of pennisetum wall materials are studied by experiments.The mass ratio of the pennisetum to gypsum,water to gypsum,expanded perlite to gypsum,and short glass fibers to gypsum were studied.The following results were obtained from the study:(1)The apparent density of the pennisetum-gypsum wall material decreases with the increase of the mass ratio of pennisetum to gypsum,expanded perlite to gypsum,water to gypsum.Short glass fiber has little effect on apparent density of material,and its effect on apparent density is not considered in practical engineering.The flexural and compressive strength of the wall material decreases with the increase of the mass ratio of the pennisetum to gypsum,expanded perlite to gypsum,the water to gypsum,and the apparent density of the material is positively correlated with the flexural strength and compressive strength.The flexural strength and compressive strength of the material increased with the increase of apparent density,and the flexural strength of the material is positively correlated with the compressive strength.(2)The thermal conductivity of the pennisetum-gypsum wall material decreases,with the increase of the mass ratio of the pennisetum to gypsum,expanded perlite to gypsum,water to gypsum.Among them,the mass ratio of the pennisetum to gypsum has the most significant influence on the thermal conductivity of the material.The compressive strength and thermal conductivity of the specimens are positively correlated with the apparent density,that is,the compressive strength,thermal conductivity increases with the increase of the apparent density of the material.The results show that the measured heat transfer coefficient and thermal conductivity of the wall material accords with the conversion relationship between the thermal conductivity and the heat transfer coefficient of homogeneous material,and the pennisetum gypsum wall material can be regarded as homogeneous material.(3)The study of the sound insulation performance of the pennisetum-gypsum wall material shows that the sound insulation of the material satisfies the homogeneous material quality law,and the sound insulation of the 200 mm thick wal l material satisfy the sound insulation performance requirements of the standard for insulation performance of the residence.
