With the urban population growth and scale expansion,the urban rail transit lines gradually extend from the urban center city to the periphery group or the suburb district.Most of passengers on these lines are for long-distance travel,which leads to the uneven spatial distribution.If still only operating the local trains,it will result in higher passenger congestion.Express/Local operation can take into account the benefit of different travel distance passengers,is an effective measure to solve the uneven spatial distribution of passenger flow.Express trains can shorten the travel time of long distance passengers,local trains can meet the demands of all passengers travel.So it is significant to research the express/local train operation organization for urban rail transit scientifically and reasonably.The main works and conclusions are as follows:(1)This paper analyzes the connotation of express/local operation by basic concepts,types,advantages and disadvantages,application cases and effects,and the applicability of express/local scheme by line conditions,passengers' demands,and running conditions,and the passenger flow is further divided into 4 categories through the passenger transport distance is for grade,and summarizes the suitable line and passenger flow conditions.(2)From the viewpoint of public benefits of urban rail transit,in the form of single intersection and single grouped linear rail transit line,the optimizing model for express/local stop schedule plan in peak hour is proposed,which takes express/local train frequencies,the express trains' cross-station sequence and the overtaking-station place as decision variables,takes minimizing passengers' total travel time as objective,and considers the express trains' station sequence,1:1 for the express and local trains,overtaking once,train tracking interval,section full load rate and other aspects as constraint conditions.The purpose of the optimizing model is to reduce the total travel time of all passengers and improve the level of passenger service.At last,according to the model characteristics,genetic algorithm is designed to solve the problem.(3)Taking the urban rail transit route of City A as an example,this paper obtains the optimal express/local stop schedule plan and verifies the rationality of the model and the feasibility of the algorithm.Analysis shows that with the same frequencies of serviceable trains,to compare with the train of stopping station by station,the total waiting time and transfer time increase,but express/local train can reduce passengers'total in-vehicle travel time and travel time by 14.29%and 0.91%respectively.(4)In the case analysis,the passenger flow is further divided into 4 categories through the passenger transport distance is for grade,and selects different travel distance passenger proportion,dwell time,minimum train tracking interval and upper limit of load factor as influence elements to do sensitivity analysis.The condition of passenger flow characteristics for express/local operation can be acquired,that is,the passenger flow proportion in 1.01?5.27km is less than 28%,or the passenger flow proportion in 5.27?9.03km is less than 22%,or the passenger flow proportion in 9.03?12.03km is between 23%to 27%,or the passenger flow proportion in 12.03?17.24km is between 25%to 29%.At the same time,some suggestions of express/local operation are given for the urban rail transit.
