Research On Public Space Construction Design Of Rural Community In Southern Jiangsu Province

In the process of the nation's rapid urbanization,rural community construction is very important for the development of the areas.Report of the 19 th national congress of the CPC comes up with a strategy of “rural revitalization”,which will also provide policy and environment supports for rural development.Rural areas are the cradle of our traditional culture,and local culture cannot be abandoned.However,the accelerated development of urbanization has brought great impact upon rural development inside the country.The question of how to reasonably make use of the empowerment of rural public space in order to advance the development of countryside community is a major difficulty in constructing rural areas.The paper studies the development of our country's rural communities,and makes in-depth analyses on the using condition of rural public space and existing problems.Then,a series of problems are found in the current situation of rural areas,such as severe penetration of urbanization,loss of national culture and consubstantial constructions.But still,there are methods to achieve break through.Particularly,in some areas,like southern Jiangsu province,whose economy has been developing fairly well,there have more needs to let the development of rural areas be on correct path by employing suitable measures.As an important component of modern countryside community,public space is closely related with the residents' everyday activities.By conducting case studies of home and abroad,and by listing the present situations and problems of our country's rural public space,the paper induces the basic rules,elements,their functions and social influence of public space empowerment in rural communities.Then it analyses the relations between rural public space and its surrounding environment,between public space and the people using it,between public space and rural community development.Through the previous study and investigation on the present situations of some rural communities in southernJiangsu province,combining with the design idea features regional characteristics and the principles of empowerment community.Second,design practice will take the example of Beilian village,Tongli town,Wujiang district in Suzhou city.Together with the previous concluded empowerment rules and construction system,Beilian's public space will be redesigned reasonably and orderly.People can use reasonable design to stimulate the residents' initiative and the community's cohesion,guide rural population to return to countryside,drive forward the development of rural economy and expand industry.Besides,by setting an objective of building healthy rural communities,people can foster rural residents' sense of identity and belongingness,as well as satisfy the emotional recollection of urban citizens.Finally,design strategies of the community's public space in Beilian village will be concluded,namely,people should focus on the long-term development of rural areas and the strategy of ecological sustainability,thus providing a practical reference for other regions' rural community development and the work of revitalizing countryside areas in our country.
