In the imagination of future intelligent traffic,it can be predicted that an increasing number of unmanned vehicles will appear on the roads with the development of machine learning and sensing technology.Unmanned vehicles are not an isolated problem, but a breakthrough combination based on technological progress in many fields. It has the possibility of changing the status quo of going out.Under the mixed traffic environment of man-machine driving,it is urgent to probe into and study realistic problems including man-machine interaction relationship, the state of traffic flow, adaptability of traffic control technology and so on.Based on analyzing and teasing the development and research achievements of manned and unmanned vehicles in the field of traffic flow, this paper takes reasonable assumptions as preconditions, discusses typical traffic scenes with the participation of unmanned vehicles and conducts an analysis and research on their driving behavior and possible impacts to manned vehicles.Below are main contents:1.An analysis on the development and status quo of research object. This paper outlines the development process of unmanned vehicles with the support of cutting-edge science and technology, introduces the research status, basic assumptions and theoretical modeling methods of unmanned vehicles and expounds the blankness of unmanned vehicles in traffic flow system and other aspects.2.Modeling.Based on summarizing existing sensing technology, driving scene identification and operation logic of unmanned vehicles, this paper proposes no randomization single-lane unmanned cellular automation(CA)model and improved double-lane automatic truck CA model based on velocity effect(VE)model.Under the assumption of identifying unmanned vehicles by means of manned vehicles, this paper takes into account the impacts brought by unmanned vehicles on the roads to human drivers and the conditions of coping with these impacts and establishes two different kinds of manned CA models under the mixed traffic flow of single-lane and double-lane man-machine driving.3.Through numerical simulation, this paper comes to research conclusions on mixed traffic flow:On a single lane, the decrease of mixture ratio of unmanned vehicles will lead to the local blockage and expansion of the lane and the extension of blockage zone, which weakens road traffic capacity and has a negative effect on improving the average velocity of the lane.On double lanes, road resources are abundant and ordinary vehicles can meet lane changing conditions easily in the case of low density of lanes, contributing to improving road utilization rate. There is no ample road space for ordinary vehicles to change lane in the case of high density of lanes. In addition,it is increasingly difficult to change lane with the increasing proportion of automatic trucks and expanded occupation of traffic lanes, which reduces the average velocity and traffic capacity of road.Automatic trucks are driven in the form of a queue on the road, which can effectively improve the lane changing frequency of ordinary vehicles, decrease the interaction between vehicles to raise road utilization rate, then reduce the drastic fluctuation of vehicle velocity and do good to the stable operation of road vehicles. On the one hand, this paper can lay a theoretical foundation for the final research and development of traffic control technology aimed at unmanned vehicles. On the other hand, this paper provides reference for the field of future traffic control and organizational management level through analyzing and studying the mixed traffic flow characteristics of man-machine driving.
