In recent years,the research on the conservation and utilization of villages has become increasingly abundant.The concept definition of villages has changed from "ancient villages" to "traditional villages." As the smallest and original unit of social administration,the traditional village witnessed the development of the Chinese nation and is the foremost living carrier of traditional culture.At the same time,the complexity of traditional villages is an important social environment for human production and living.Therefore,how to conserve and utilize the traditional villages is a problem that urgently needs to be solved in China.Changgangling Village is situated in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,under the jurisdiction of Lingchuan County of Guilin City.It was jointly listed in the 6th batch list of Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level,with the architectural complex of Jiangtou Village.Changgangling Village was found in the Song Dynasty.The ancestors of Chen,Mo,Liu,migrated from Qingzhou(in Shandong)to Changgangling Village at Ming Dynasty.The location,layout,building structure,decorative sculpture and so on of this village,are of great value for the study of the features of the Han nationality dwellings in South China,the integration of the ethnic cultures in the northern Guangxi region,and the culture of the northern Guangxi merchants.Because of the hilly landforms,inconvenient transportation,and the underdeveloped economy,the villages are less affected by humans as a whole,but they have not been fully protected and developed also.This thesis attempts to analyze the current status of traditional villages and the concept of living protection,and takes Changgangling Village as the research object,exploring the points of convergence of the traditional villages and the concept of living protection.The full text consists of five chapters: The first chapter is the objects,background and theory of research,which mainly explains the research background of this topic and the research status of traditional villages at home and abroad,and defines the research methods and technical routes.The second chapter is the research on the status quo.Through the discussion of the current status of traditional villages,analysis of the main contradictions of traditional villages,and clarification the core factors related to the conservation and utilization of traditional villages.The third chapter is the research of Changgangling village.Through the analysis of its value,it clarifies the characteristics of Changgangling village itself and the problems it faces.The forth chapter is the application of living protection concepts.The specific strategies and designs for the living protection and utilization of Changgangling Village were proposed,from the perspectives of stimulating the vitality of traditional villages and enhancing the participation of living inheritors,and the aspects of environmental vitality,inhabitant vitality,intangible cultural heritage vitality,agricultural vitality and the participation of villagers and tourists.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which is a summary of this study.
