Due to its high strength and light weight,the steel structure is widely used in long-span bridges.However,because of the bad temperature and load conditions,and the frequent bending deformation of the steel bridge deck,especially of the negative bending moment region of the orthotropic plate,the early diseases such as cracks,lapse and delamination of the steel bridge deck pavement are serious,and its life is short.With the characteristics of high temperature softening and low temperature embrittlement,the commonly used asphalt concrete cannot adapt the bad working conditions of the steel bridge deck pavement.Taking macromolecule polymer material as a breakthrough point,we have developed a high-performance polymer concrete without using asphalt materials,and the polymer waterproof adhesive layer materials which can match with the concrete was also developed.Firstly,the polyisocyanate,which is suitable for reactive activity,was selected and the polyether polyol,which is non-crystallizable,was used as a soft segment,and then the molecular weight of the polymer resin was regulated to make the synthesized polymer have a gentle curing rate and a gentle rise in viscosity,and its curing time can be adjusted by the amount of catalyst.Besides,the new polymer has excellent adhesion and it can meet the needs of paving and rolling technology.Secondly,a new type of polymer concrete was developed,and its performance was compared with the commonly used pavement materials.The results showed that the high temperature stability of the polymer concrete is obviously better than the TAF epoxy asphalt concrete;its low temperature anti-crack property is significantly higher than that of the gussasphalt concrete;its anti-fatigue service life is far longer than the gussasphalt concrete;its coefficient of linear expansion is closer to the steel than the TAF epoxy asphalt concrete,and the temperature stress between layers is smaller;its waterproof performance is excellent,and its anti-slipping performance is better than the TAF epoxy asphalt concrete;its water stability is slightly worse than the TAF epoxy asphalt concrete,but the decline of its splitting tensile strength is not obvious after repeatedly freezing and thawing cycles.Thirdly,the polymer waterproof adhesive material was developed,and its best dosage was determined.The shear strength of the new material is much higher than that of TAF epoxy asphalt at 70 C.Finally,the construction technology of the new polymer steel deck pavement material is put forward based on the repairing work of a steel bridge deck pavement.
