Intersections are an indispensable part of urban roads and a key part of traffic flow distribution.They occupy a large proportion of urban intersections and play a crucial role in urban road traffic.However,with the development of the economy,the number of motor vehicles is constantly increasing,and more and more people have chosen to travel by car while considering the comfort and convenience of travel,which has caused tremendous pressure on urban road traffic.The design of the original ordinary intersection has not met the requirements of the existing traffic volume,but only a few intersections have made corresponding improvements in the face of the actual situation.The design of most urban road intersections is not perfect and does not match the current traffic conditions,which seriously affects the operational efficiency of the intersection and reduces the capacity.Therefore,it is of practical significance to optimize the design and improvement of urban road intersections.This dissertation constructs the framework of the thesis according to the order of theory-main content analysis and case analysis.Firstly,it analyzes the traffic characteristics of various urban road intersections,and mainly introduces signalized control intersections,unsignalized control intersections and circular intersections.The characteristics of traffic flow in the mouth,analysis of the causes of conflict between motor vehicles,non-motor vehicles and pedestrians,exploration of solutions to conflict problems,and then introduction of several commonly used methods of canalization,through the analysis of existing intersections,A corresponding canalization scheme was adopted;then the Webster model was introduced by discussing the signal phase and phase sequence.In the end,taking the main intersections of the train stations in Shunqing District,Nanchong City as an example,based on the actual survey data,using the theoretical methods proposed in the previous four chapters,combined with examples,the two main intersections of the train station in Shunqing District,Nanchong City were analyzed.The existing problems propose corresponding optimization schemes,and through simulation evaluation,verify the rationality of canalization schemes and signal timing schemes.
