With the rapid development of socio-economic and the advancement of urb anization in China,domestic vehicle ownership has shown a rapid growth trend,which has caused a series of traffic problems such as urban traffic congestion and the like to worsen.Intersection of urban road network as the main distrib ution center of urban traffic is the main link of traffic congestion and traffic po llution.The main reason for these phenomena is that the time-space resources i n the intersection can not be fully utilized.Therefore,a reasonable control of th e signal lights will be an important means to improve the capacity of intersecti on and to reduce the traffic pollution.According to the statistics,most of the si gnal devices installed in the existing signalized intersections are timing control devices.The signal control is based on historical traffic data and is divided into multiple time periods.In view of this,focusing on the current situation of sig nal equipment and traffic problems,the paper studies the traffic segmentation an d signal timing.The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1)This paper analyzes the existing problems and research significance of traffic system,elaborates the signal control mode of intersection,the basic parameters of signal timing and the evaluation index of signal control performance of intersection,and analyzes the control parameters such as traffic capacity,delay and evaluation index The analysis of the correlation between these control parameters and the signal period has a strong correlation.(2)Based on the acquisition of traffic volume,the uniform coefficient of weekly traffic volume and correlation coefficient of daily traffic volume were analyzed.It is concluded that the change of traffic volume is similar in the working day.Then the time scale determination model is established for the working day.At the same time,GA-Kmeans algorithm is studies deeply,and the characteristics of algorithm are combined with the practical application of traffic hours to re-cluster the clustered outliers according to the membership degree.(3)Based on the phase-effective green time,the signal period and the phase saturation,a multi-objective signal control optimization model is established and the improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the model.Finally,the validity of the GA-Kmeans algorithm and the improved genetic algorithm are verified based on the traffic flow data of the actual intersection.The simulation results also verify the validity of the method and signal optimization in this paper.
