The renovation of old factories and creative parks is becoming more and more common in modern times,LOFT is a new design form.In the era of urban modernization,there will be a large number of industrial sites,because of the emergence of the old factory building transformation methods,industrial sites are not in opposition to urbanization.The rational transformation and application of industrial sites can not only promote the process of urbanization,but also highlight the characteristic culture of the city and form the unique urban landscape.Industrial sites were the traces of the older generation's efforts to create them.They may seem out of step with the times,but once they are redesigned,they can fit into the modern world.As these factories were abandoned,in the wheel of historical development,tall factories and chimneys faced with the fate of either collapsing or turning to others.It can be said that these valuable cultural sites have been seriously damaged.Today,with the emergence of more similar industrial sites,we need to pay more attention to their protection and renovation.Whether from an economic or a cultural standpoint,a large number of industrial sites are worth preserving and renovating,this is not only the strategic thinking of sustainable development,but also the public's desire for the improvement of living environment and spiritual life.The preservation and renovation of these sites will always remind us what kind of road we have taken,and we have paid a great price in the face of unscientific development model.At the same time,as people who used to live and work here,these factories are even more indelible memories of their life experiences,here are their youth and their memories,the most material and direct remembrance of their glorious years.This article analyse cultural,economic and environmental impacts of the transformation of old buildings from the past to the future,through the understanding,research and investigation of existing domestic and foreign cases,finally,the paper summarizes the reconstruction way and design principle of the old industrial buildings.From the author's actual design scheme,the transformation mode,using materials and layout planning of the old factory building are expounded one by one.The difficulties in the reconstruction design of the old factory building were analyzed by practical case analysis.And then summarize the design,so as to conduct a discussion about how to develop the LOFT design culture in the future and the sustainable development of the renovation of the old factory buildings.
