Since Howard discovered the phenomenon of "heat island effect" in 1833,the research on urban thermal environment has attracted much attention.Especially in recent years, the high temperature problem caused by the promotion of the global urbanization has been puzzling the normal production and life of the residents. It is true that the research of urban thermal environment is a problem oriented science,so it is one of its important characteristics to analyze the specific problems. In the past, most of the researches on urban thermal environment were led by Environmental Science,Meteorology,Ecology,Geography and Physics, and developed their own theoretical and technological methods for this major. But with the development of science and technology, especially the emergence of softwares and sensitive instruments such as Phoenics and Envi-Met,it provides practical and feasible means for architecture, urban planning and landscape architecture, which are closely related to urban space.Especially for the study of water microclimate in the spring settlement. This paper, taking the ancient city of Ji'nan as the research object, first interprets the basic concept,spatio-temporal characteristics and influence mechanism of urban thermal environment from the perspective of general architecture, and combines the theories of Environmental Science,Ecology and other theories.Through literature review, the research on urban thermal environment is reviewed from the method level, and the correlation between water landscape and thermal environment at home and abroad is studied.Secondly,on the basis of combing the characteristics of urban thermal environment and water landscape distribution in the study area, the regulation effect of water landscape on urban thermal environment is preliminarily analyzed, and then the water landscape with different spatial forms in ideal state is analyzed by using Phoencis software from three levels of water surface rate, encircling degree(encircling, non closing)and dispersion(centralized and decentralized). The thermal environment adjustment ability under the conditions of 4%,8%,12%,16%,20% and 24%,respectively,was used to extract and statistics the simulation information of the heat flow field by SPSS software, and then the coupling relationship between the different water landscape spatial morphology and the thermal environment was analyzed. The design formula of the ideal state of the water landscape space was obtained. The results showed that the water view heat adjustment ability was also improved as the water surface rate increased. The stronger it is,and the cooling effect of the scattered water landscape is the highest. Finally, from the angle of the optimization design of the water landscape space form, the urban space model under the control detailed planning of the ancient city of Ji'nan is used to carry out the empirical research on the thermal environment, and the design formula under the ideal state is simulated and the correction coefficient suitable for the optimum design of the water landscape in this area is obtained.By using the comprehensive evaluation of the human body temperature threshold and the best thermal effect,we can get the index of the optimal design of the landscape form of the water landscape, which should ensure that the water rate is within the range of 4%~16%.It provides a scientific basis for water landscape to improve the environment of human settlements, and has a guiding role in the protection and planning of urban water landscape in Ji'nan. It is of great significance to the construction of Ji'nan's characteristic water ecological civilization and the success of the spring.
