"Lotus on all sides,willow on three sides,mountain and lake in one city",Jinan is known as "Spring City".As a carrier of historical inheritance,springs have become an inseparable part of the city.Living on the edge of springs creates a special form of urban settlements,which has a profound impact on all aspects of urban construction.In the urban structure system of China,every city has its own core.The prince’s palace of De built in the Ming Dynasty is an important event in Jinan’s urban construction in the Ming Dynasty.It occupies the center of the city with its huge scale,leaving a distinct characteristics of the times for the city.The study of the prince’s palace of De in Jinan is a relatively weak part of the previous study of Jinan.This paper takes the prince’s palace of De in Ming dynasty as the research object,combs the historical evolution of the prince’s palace of De in Ming dynasty with literature,archaeological data and geographic data.On the basis of literature research and field investigation,combines with archaeological data,speculates on the spatial pattern of the prince’s palace of De in Ming dynasty,and studies the relationship between its construction evolution and the city.This paper consists of four parts: introduction,body,conclusion and appendix.In the introduction part,firstly,the origin and significance of the topic selection are elaborated,and the related research contents are summarized.The main body is divided into three chapters.Firstly,it summarizes the natural environment and human environment of the city on which the prince’s palace of De relies.Secondly,it studies the background,scale and spatial pattern of the construction of the imperial palace of De.Thirdly,it analyses the change of the spatial pattern of Jinan under the influence of the prince’s palace of De and with a comparative study made on several other cities affected by The prince’s palace.The concluding part summarizes the evolution of the prince’s palace spatial pattern and urban spatial pattern.The appendix part is the summary and supplement of the related literature.We can draw the following conclusions through this paper: Firstly,the natural and human geographical environment is the basis for the survival and development of Jinan City.The special geological structure and natural environment in this area provide the necessary material basis and guarantee for the rise and development of Jinan city.Secondly,the construction of the prince’s palace of De in Ming dynasty hasits special background and institutional basis.The construction of the imperial palace strictly complies with the relevant provisions of the prince’s palace system and creates a ritual center in Jinan city.Thirdly,the construction of the imperial palace occupies a large area of the city,affecting the original spatial layout of Jinan city.Fourthly,the development and change of Jinan’s urban functions and spatial pattern in the Ming and Qing Dynasties are closely related to the natural,political and social environment.Its evolution track is consistent with the development and transformation process in the late stage of traditional society.The development track of Jinan City is not only the historical epitome of the development of regional social transformation,but also a typical example of the same type of regional central city change in the late stage of traditional society.
