With the rapid development of social economy,the scale of electricity consumption is also expanding.As an important index to measure the level of power supply,power quality is attracting more and more attention.In the electric power system,using the appropriate reactive power compensation equipment can improve the power factor,reduce the loss,and improve the power quality while ensuring the economy.At present,among the mainstream reactive power compensation equipment,when TSC works in the high voltage environment,its reliability is poor,the loss of TCR and MCR is high,STATCOM has complex structure and high cost,which is not conducive to wide application.Based on the merits and demerits of traditional reactive power compensation scheme,this paper studies the application of magnetic controlled switch in reactive power compensation.Firstly,this paper studies the principle of magnetic controlled switch,aim at the shortcomings of the mainstream reactive power compensation equipment,a reactive power compensation scheme using magnetic controlled switch is presented.This scheme has many advantages such as no contact,low cost,and simple structure.The problem of ferromagnetic resonance in the magnetic controlled switch and the series capacitor is studied in this paper.Traditionally,the way to eliminate ferroresonance is parallel the damping resistors on capacitors,and using a switch such as an electric relay to switch the damping resistor.However,the long-term operation in the high voltage environment will reduce the reliability of the switch,and may cause serious security risks.In view of the above problems,based on the perspective of improving the reliability and economy of the electric system,this paper proposes a new scheme of using the thyristor to switch the damping resistance.The feasibility of the scheme is verified by theoretical analysis and simulation experiments.Combining the reactive power compensation scheme using magnetic controlled switch and the new scheme to eliminate ferroresonance,the whole design scheme of the compensation system based on TMS320F2812 digital signal processor,the compensation strategy and the control circuit is given in this paper.The simulation experiments proves that the compensation branch can run stably.
