Park and Ride(P&R),which is located in the outskirts of large cities, can reduce the number of cars entering the downtown area and largely relieve traffic congestion.Site selection is the primary content of P&R planning and construction many factors involved, and improper selection will bring serious consequences. With the rapid growth of the rail transit network in large cities, the P&R location has become a key issue that needs to be solved urgently. This paper focuses on P&R network effects and the influence of neighboring P&R attraction range, introduces the prospect theory based on spatial analysis and interception site selection theory, and proposes a P&R two-stage site selection method. The main research content includes.(1)Building a preliminary location model based on networkSummaring the influence factors of P&R location, and based on spatial analysis, single factor suitability evaluations were conducted for population within P&R attraction, land use types around P&R,and road accessibility around P&R.Determine the weight of each single factor, calculate the comprehensive suitability score of P&R candidate locations, obtain the P&R candidate location ranking scheme, and complete the construction of the network-based P&R preliminary location model.(2)Building the final location model based on networkBased on the prospect theory,P&R facilities sharing rates for rail transit is calculated by considering the travelers' limited rationality, which will further optimize the scale of P&R candidate locations.Considering the interests of the government and P&R users, the impact of the established P&R on the new P&R is analyzed based on the objective function of minimizing the number of kilometers of cars in the network, the network cost efficiency ratio, and maximizing the total surplus of all P&R users in the network. The function expression of the new P&R reduction attraction range is deduced, and as a supplementary constraint, the network-based P&R final location modelling is completed.(3)Taking Beijing for example to apply network-based P&R two-stage location method and modelThe results of preliminary location model indicate that the current P&R layout in Beijing is unreasonable. The number of P&R in the region where the comprehensive suitability score is greater than 8 only accounts for 25%,which could be optimized further.Applying the final location model,it concludes that the overall efficiency of P&R network is increasing non-linearly with the number of P&R.When the number of P&R is between 9 and 11,the overall benefit of P&R network is the most significant.Comparing with the first batch of P&R projects completed in Beijing, the number of kilometers of vehicles in the closure network has increased by 1.14 times, the cost-effectiveness ratio has decreased by 58%,the total user surplus in the network has increased by 26%,and the P&R travel ratio has increased by 17.8%.For the distribution of existing P&R in Beijing, the model also gives the most optimal location plan for the construction of different numbers of P&R,which can provide reference for planning the next batch of P&R in Beijing.Based on the P&R two-stage location method and model, the paper improves the P&R location theoretical system based on network and provides a theoretical basis for the planning P&R in large cities.
