Research On Design Of Energy-Saving Streetlamps Lighten From Level To Level Based On Fractal Structures

Since the 1990s,the lighting of urban night scene is developing rapidly.As the most common infrastructure in the public lighting,streetlamps’function is no longer confined to the basic road lighting,more is the need of spiritual aesthetic,and users are more willing to accept the products which could express personality and innovative.About the creativity of the product design,designers often acquire the inspiration from other areas in order to obtain a new creative form,this approach tends to bring unexpected results.Fractal,as a new science,is widely applied into the multiple research areas,and has been made a significant progress.In the field of the design-creation,designers absorb the nutrition from fractal ideas,investigate fractal’s levels,self-similarity,and the special artistic charm to serve the product design.In this dissertation,there are two product design’s practice based on fractal ideas by which a feasible method,which could be applied to the fractal thought in the product design,is gotten.According to the method,a new streetlamp is designed.With the help of the two products’ design practice,and combining with the research and thinking for streetlamps’ design,the author has designed an energy-saving courtyard streetlamp lighten from le’vel to level based on classical fractal structural characteristics-Sierpinski triangle and cantor set.Through the design practice of the streetlamp based on fractal ideas,the author tried more possibilities of product design.The main innovation and research results are as follows:(1)Obtained the design inspiration from the famous fractal-Levy curve’s structural characteristics,obtained the inspiration of design,the modular shelving with Levy curve’s structure features has been designed.The physical sample of the fractal shelving has been applied for and now has entered the published and review stage.(2)On the basis of our research’s form and structure characteristics of Z6 symmetric fractal pattern which generated by using computer technology,have designed a set of hexagon fractal tea set and a set of quadrilateral fractal tea set have been designed.The desired physical samples have been made out.The design of the relating fractal tea set have been applied for national invention patent,and now has been patented the invention patent from the SIPO.(3)Benefiting from the two products’ design practices,a kind of the energy-saving courtyard streetlamps lighten from level to level based on classical fractal structures has been designed by the inspiration from the classic fractal’s structure features-Sierpinski triangle and cantor set,combining with the research and thinking for streetlamps’design.The manual model has been made out and it applied for the national invention patent,and accepted.(4)Based on the practices of the product design by applying fractal ideas,a set of effective and feasible method of the product design has been proposed,and it is of broadening the ideas of product design,and trying more possibilities of product design.Applying effectively of the fractal thought in the field of design,but also to promote the development of the concept of fractal and broaden the application field of fractal disciplines,has practical significance and practical application value,the two promote each other,common development.
