Study On Individual Travel Choice Behavior In Response To Traffic Information

As the urbanization of China speeds up,the problem of traffic jam is worsening with each passing day.For the sake of guiding the traffic flow in cities efficiently and promote the efficiency of traffic operation.Providing people with real time information about traffic conditions by an advanced traffic information service system,assisting them establishing and planning an rational going out plan,adjusting or changing the way of transportation,departure time and route,thus they contribute to divide the demand of going out in rush hours from the time and space.This paper aims at researching the going out options behavior of individuals under traffic information conditions,the main content and result of the research are following four aspects:(1)In order to acquire the information preference and searching pattern features which based on the cognitive models,the structure equation model was built,as well as the relevance between personal attributes,trip features and traffic information was analyzed,thus they provide an essential basis for the users demand analysis of the traffic information system.(2)Analyzing the features and regularity of urban residents' options of going out from the aspect of individuals' behaviors,and analyzing quantitatively the personal attributes features as well as the effects of all kinds of trip information to ways of traffic by disaggregate models,thus the theoretical basis of making scientific trip information and release the optimized strategies was provided.(3)Aiming at the variable features of trip time in the traffic conditions,the departure time options model which based on the parameter of variable trip time information attributes on traffic conditions was built.The modeling method of trip time options behaviors under the traffic information conditions was expounded,as well as the effects on the trip time options of information and personal attributes based on the results of the model were analyzed quantitatively,eventually discussed further about the various people's sensibility of traffic information.(4)Drivers' behaviors of selecting the routes under the full consideration of their cognitive model were researched.The project includes the VMS information strategy experiment scheme with single or multiple rations,thus the effects on the drivers' options of shifting ways from vital information can be analyzed.An ordered multiclassified Logistic model of the behaviors of drivers' options of shifting ways which were under the conditions of different information supplied by VMS was built.The chance of people changing their routes can be predicted by the results of the model,which provides a basis of reference for making an efficient and rational traffic guiding strategies.
