The transmission,which is one of the core components of aut omotive powertrains,has a major influence on the driving comfort,fuel economy,and exhaust emissions of the vehicle.Along with the development of the automobile industry,the producing and manufacturing technologies of automotive gearbox both have been rapid development.The automotive gearboxes range from manual gearboxes to automatic gearboxes,and automatic gearboxes have evolved from AMT to current AT,CVT,DCT and other products.Paper based friction plates are the core components of automatic tran smissions.When the automatic transmission is shifting,the torque is transmitted or cut off by the combination or separation of the paper based friction plates and the paired steel plates.However,the core technology of paper based friction disks has bee n monopolized by a few companies in the United States and Japan for many years,which has seriously hindered the real localization of automatic transmissions in China.In order to quickly realize the localization of paper based friction plate in large quantities,meet the need for high-speed development of domestic automatic transmissions,and realize the localization of key components of vehicles,we need to study the three most critical factors in the actual use of paper based friction disks in automatic transmissions.In this paper,SAE No.2 testing machine is used to simulate the actual operating conditions of automatic transmission,and various influencing factors are tested and analyzed.At the same time,for the heat-resistant durability requirements of paper based friction plates,research work has been carried out on raw materials,manufacturing processes,and oil tank design.1)Study on friction characteristics of paper based friction plates.The change of the dynamic friction coefficient,the change of the static friction coefficient,and the change of the end friction coefficient of the paper based friction plate under different working conditions(different temperatures,different pressures,different rotation speeds,etc.)will have a great influence on the shift time and shift comfort of automatic transmissions.2)Under the condition of ensuring the comfort of shifting,the heat-resistant and durable characteristics of paper-based friction plates are studied.The current new transmission puts high requirements on the heat resistance and durability of paper based friction plates.This paper does research on raw materials,manufacturing processes and oil tank design.3)In actual use,the automatic transmission has high requirements on the drag torque,and related research is conducted on the drag problem in the actual use of the automatic transmission,so that reducing the drag torque can reduce the fuel consumption.This paper proposes reasonable suggestions for shifting time and shifting comfort of automatic transmissions with paper based friction plates.At the same time,the heat resistance and durability are analyzed under the condition of ensuring the comfort of shifting,so as to meet the high heat resistance requirements of the double clutch and other on paper based friction plates.
