The transformer is one of the most important equipment in the transformer substation.It is also the equipment that is most likely to affect the normal operation of the power grid when there is a fault.It is important to find out that failure of the internal of the power transformer in the daily running of the grid,to reduce the outage time of the power transformer and to improve the reliability of the power grid.The most common fault of power transformer is partial discharge of internal winding.Internal partial discharge will accelerate transformer oilpaper insulation aging,significantly reduce its life and can lead to oil paper insulation is punctured,eventually leading to power transformer was forced to shut down.Online monitoring technology is a technology that USES all kinds of tests,measures,and surveillance to collect data,at the same time,the history and instant status of the system,to evaluate the operating status of the device.By sampling the data obtained,we can judge whether the system is in normal operation.If the system is in an abnormal state,immediately alarm and remind maintenance personnel to deal with it.A timely shutdown of the main transformer can prevent greater economic losses and power load losses.The data collected by on-line monitoring can provide information reference and comparison samples for subsequent fault treatment and other work.It discuss that important significance of the on-line monitoring technology of the oil chromatographic on-line monitor in the real application and the research progress and development trend at home and abroad at the present stage,analyzes the kind of the dissolving gas in the insulate oil of the transformer,generates the process and the generating principle,analyzes the corresponding relation between the change of the gas composition content in the insulating oil and the fault of the transformer,and discusses the common method of the fault diagnosis of the transformer based on DGA technology,and determines the use of the modified three-ratio method to judge the internal discharging faults of the transformer to distinguish the internal discharging faults by using the modified three-ratio method,and designs the online monitoring system using the DGA technology.
