As a vital part of electrical power system,substation is the section where electric energy is received and distributed.Nowadays,due to higher automation level,domestic substation which is integrated by technology like modern microelectronics processing and automatic control has achieved unmanned on-duty.However,the smart and automation level of substation auxiliary equipment is not as good as substation itself.Taking monitoring center as an example,monitoring center cannot real-time monitor auxiliary equipment and collect unified management and record of auxiliary equipment operation status.The current situation seriously constrained the efficiency of substation functions and affected implement of advanced production management system.In a word,research and development of smart monitoring system for auxiliary equipment of substation has great practical significance.After understanding online monitoring area situation and targeting to existing problems of substation,this paper designs smart monitoring system for auxiliary equipment of substation.Using IOT tech method,this system designs proper monitoring system which consists two parts,principal computer and slave computer.Serial port is used for communication between two parts.Under independent designed software via Visual Studio 2013,the principal Computer is formed by two terminals,the local monitoring terminal and the remote monitoring terminal.The Slave computer selects two wireless communication modes,433 MHz RF and Zig Bee,and respectively carries out the hardware design,debugging and microprocessor programming of smart devices under two different communication modes.With data response and retransmission mechanism,smart devices have reliable wireless data transmission.After system design is fixed,substation auxiliary equipment model is made and debugged in lab environment.Through whole system filed application test,the multiple method controlling and the temperature and humidity real-time data collecting of lighting device,access device within the model are working well.And two different communication methods are tested and compared.The result shows that two kinds of communication methods both can fulfill wireless data transmission under the special environment,the substation environment.But when more wireless communication devices join the test,the RF communication method shows more data packet loss as its node quantity capacity is smaller.Meanwhile Zig Bee method has more node quantity capacity and can better meet requirement of smart monitoring system.Even under multiple node data,Zig Bee still has higher controlling success rate.In addition,this system also achieves many other functions,like personnel information and permission management,equipment status record,temperature and humidity node history data record and curve generation,GSM defect alarm etc.Above field application test shows that the smart monitoring system is working stable and can be monitored in real time which achieves the expected intention of the design.
