Ring net cabinet is an important component to realize the power supply of the ring network.It's easy to damage the cable and transmission line when the temperature of the T type cable joint is too high,which is serious harmful to the power safety.The cable temperature of the ring net cabinet is usually measured by the operation and maintenance personnel,It's inefficient and hard to monitor in real-time.Therefore,it's urgent to develop an on-line system to monitor the temperature of the T type cable joint conductor of the ring cabinet.This paper analyzed the structure and heat transfer process of the T type cable joint.The finite element software ANSYS is used to simulate the T type cable joint for obtaining the temperature distribution.Study on the calculation method of the conductor temperature of the T type cable joint,use thermal circuit method calculating the temperature based on IEC60287,analyze the shortcomings of the thermal circuit method,put forward an improved thermal circuit model.Considering the particularity of the temperature detection for the T type cable joint conductor,put forward the RBF neural network to calculate the internal conductor temperature.Design a set of on-line temperature monitoring system,the system is made up of STM32F103 and DS18B20,using LoRa and GPRS to transfer data to main monitor station.The monitoring software of the host computer is wrote by LabVIEW platform.The software could process and calculate the temperature data,it also could display and manage the data.An experimental platform is established to obtain the temperature of the conductor under different working conditions.By comparing the measured values with the calculated values,the calculation results and errors of the thermal road model and the RBF neural network model are analyzed.Analyzed the calculation results of the thermal circuit method and the RBF neural network model by comparing the measured values with the calculated values.Determined the optimum calculation method for monitoring temperature of T type cable joint conductor.It could realized the real-time temperature monitoring for the cable connector of the ring network cabinet by using the monitoring system combined with the relevant temperature calculation model,which is referenced for the related engineering practice.
