Research On Landscape Design Of Renewing Urban Old Industrial District

In recent years,great changes have taken place in Chinese social economy.The transformation of economic development strategy in many cities has made great changes in industrial structure.With the decline of city’s traditional industries,most factories migrated to the urban fringe,resulting in a large number of abandoned industrial areas appeared in the city.Therefore,how to redevelop and reuse these abandoned areas is a serious problem today.Landscape design plays an important role in the renewal of old industrial areas.The research of its landscape design has clear theoretical value and practical significance.This study generalizes the characteristics of the old industrial area and analyzes the influence of the renewal of the old industrial area on the site.On the basis of this,the landscape design principles and methods of the urban old industrial areas updating were put forward.The case of the west coast industrial park was taken as an example,to provide theoretical support and practical reference for the landscape renewal of the urban old industrial areas.This study research on the landscape design of renewing urban old industrial district including the following three parts:Firstly,in the study,through the literature reading,case studying and field researches,the progress of the theory and practice of landscape design in old industrial areas at home and abroad was reviewed.The relevant theories that influenced its development were summarized.And the concept,background,content,mode,type and characteristics related the landscape renewal of the old urban industrial areas were also summarized.Secondly,The four aspects about the old industrial area are summarized including the space,culture,ecology and resources.And the influence of the renewal of the old industrial area on the above four aspects is analyzed too.on these grounds,threeprinciples of urban old industrial areas renewal were proposed : principles of humanity,principles of respecting surroundings,and the principles of ecological sustainability.Combined with actual cases,the corresponding design methods were proposed:constructing a pleasant space,forming the place spirit,restoring the ecological environment,and integrating resources for reusing.Finally,through the practice of landscape design in the West Coast Industrial Park which located in Qingyang Harbor,Kunshan City,specific design techniques were studied.After analyzing the details of the location background and current situation,the Specific design schemes were derived based on the previous design.This study verified the design method in practice.
