Research On The Renewal Design Of Industrial Heritage Landscape In Beijing Coking Plant Park

With the rapid development of cities and the transformation of industrial structure of cities,industrial parks were gradually laid aside or taken down.Afterwards,the society begin to think about where these civilizations of industrial ages are going and how to embody their values.Therefore,people begin to show concern on the enlivening and utilization of industrial heritage.Now,our country plans to develop landscape environment of industrial heritage as a goal of upgrading & designing under the strategy of sustainable development.Firstly,by way of making research on the background,purpose,meaning and values of industrial heritage landscape,this thesis explains how the industrial heritage,as a kind of distinct and rare landscape resource,is raised to a higher level from a rusty texture to innovative infinity in terms of culture on the stage where industrial heritage is upgrading.Upon upgrading the design of abandoned industrial park we can join together the industrial culture and people’s life,living and ecology.Thus,a new type of culture scenery and movement space is shaped with industrial features.Secondly,by way of a general statement on the upgraded documents and practice of industrial heritage in and out of our country,in this theses a comparison is made with the western countries whose research on it is more mature and concerns more on the promotion of cultural spirit of industrial heritage scenery.Our country is late in the utilization of industrial heritage and has relatively less cases in the practice of industrial heritage necessarily integrating into people’s daily life.Nevertheless,with the successful development of some industrial heritage landscape in our country,more and more extraordinary designing programme will be presented in the future.Besides,the thesis makes analysis on relative theories and draws conclusion on that we should coordinate demanding and interest of different groups of people when confronting with a phenomenon that city upgrading brings about gentrification.All of our nation should share the fruit and value of city construction.Then,to re-utilize Beijing Coke-oven Plant in a more efficient and scientific way,I generalize and summarize,in this thesis,some important prevailing upgrading manners and designing principles of industrial heritage landscape in and out of our country.Finally,the author practiced in the design on the industrial heritage landscape of Beijing Coke-oven Plant.After a basic analysis is made on the historical development,the recipient people and regional planning etc.of the Plant,the designing purpose and invention is established.Based on the fact that Beijing Cove-oven Plant was operated,relocated and upgraded before,which brings about a gentrification phenomenon on the nature of land and the variety of people,I develop a designing concept that accords to the development of the Plant.Therefore,a landscape design strategy is constituted accordingly and the theme and layout of design is established accordingly.The landscape upgrading design may make people see industrial heritage again.As a result,the memory of cities and human feelings can be developed and the industrial landscape with distinct features of the region can be embodied,which show the splendid industrial heritage in a more meaningful way and arouse the feelings of one generation after another constantly.
