Road capacity is an important parameter for reflecting the road traffic characteristics,and offers more scientific theoretical foundation for road network planning,road design,road maintenance and road management.With the rapid development of urban road traffic and the advent of automobile era,the running environment of road traffic becomes more complex,obviously,multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow becomes an significant factor restricting road capacity.Therefore,effective analysis of the capacity of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow plays an important role in improving traffic order and further enhancing road section capacity.In order to better solve the road traffic problem caused by the interaction of different types of vehicles,the thesis focuses on having a specific study on the capacity of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow and car following model.In this thesis,the author analyzes the research status of the road capacity of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow at home and abroad in recent years,and the relevant research results of car following model.The thesis is centered on analysis of capacity problems under the condition of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow.Moreover,on the basis of car-following theory,capacity model of car following mean time headway under the condition of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow can be concluded through studying different combined probability of large,medium,and small vehicles,and the minimum space headway in different car following sequences.Car following mean space capacity model under the condition of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow is established by further analysis of car following state,the mean space headway,the relation of these three parameters on the condition of different combination of three-type vehicles.Furthermore,for the purpose of analyzing influencing factors and model modification of road capacity based on the theory of car following model,in the thesis,the author has put forward a particular research from four influencing factors including choosing lane width,bicycle,driver's response time and the number of lanes.Finally,the changed trend of mixed traffic flow capacity in the different car proportion can be calculated and analyzed by project examples and it can be concluded that proportion of car is the important factor which has an effect on the capacity of the mixed traffic flow.Meanwhile,the practicability and consistency of the two models for multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow road capacity are demonstrated in this thesis.The research results of this thesis not only have a certain theoretical and practical value for the calculation of the capacity of multi-vehicle-type mixed traffic flow,but also provide theoretical foundation for making different vehicles driving in the separate way on multi-lane congested road section,thus,such results further provide reference for the follow-up study on the capacity of mixed traffic flow and its capacity model.
