Voltage is often used to measure the quality of electricity.Voltage quality and the development of electric power have an important relationship.It determines the safety and economy of the system,which is the guarantee of the safety and stability of electricity use,and is also the key factor of the life of the equipment.In order to ensure the voltage quality,the reactive power compensation and balance in the system can be controlled effectively so as to ensure the stability and security of the system.Only then will the economic efficiency of the power system be guaranteed.The situation is complicated by the fact that the power system is constantly being updated to better meet people's needs and the voltage and reactive power of the grid is changing.Therefore,the automatic voltage reactive power control device comes into being.It is widely used in power system and substation voltage reactive power regulation.Especially in current substation voltage reactive power control,After working practice,the upgrading scheme of the Automatic Voltage Control(AVC)system is proposed.It mainly includes parameter setting optimization and regional strategy optimization.The parameter setting can optimize the AVC system voltage regulation scheme.The regional strategy optimization method can be coordinated and controlled in the inter station of the region and support each other.After calculation,it provides the best strategy in the current area.In this paper,based on the actual situation of a power grid project and the combination of theory and work practice,the principle of reactive voltage regulation and the basic principle of automatic voltage regulation in a power system are briefly introduced,and a detailed upgrade plan is given for the problems encountered in a certain city.Finally,the practicality of the AVC system upgrade was examined.After collecting and collating a large amount of AVC operational data in a certain city,some projects were evaluated and analyzed to determine the feasibility of the plan.With this AVC system program upgrade,its economic benefits will be improved to achieve the goal of safe and economical operation.
