In resent years,China’s promotion of information technology has issued multiple strategic plans and new standards for various industries.It can be seen that the new information technology methods plays an important role in the country’s social and economic development.Bridge engineering is an important hub project in the field of architecture.Its engineering characteristics have proved to be more difficult than normal construction during many years of development.From the early stage of planning to the final stage of operation and maintenance,it faces enormous challenges and new problems,even so far,the historical problems in some industries have not been fundamentally solved.BIM technology is a breakthrough in the traditional 2D work dimension,the 3D model and more advanced information management technology is introduced into the engineering construction application,and after entering the bridge field,it has also rapidly developed to every stage in the bridge engineering project.Its well-supported digital technology3 D models allows for a more comprehensive and intuitive understanding of the overall engineering aspects at all stages,and can be resolved more quickly because of space issues.Based on the information management technology and concepts,it can penetrate all application phases of the bridge project and all participating personnel,allowing information to be transmitted,transferred,managed and applied on the same platform in a unified manner.The accuracy and efficiency of the project can be significant improved.This thesis firstly studies the concept of BIM and the development situation at home and abroad,finds the correct understanding about the concepts of BIM,and analyzes the characteristics of BIM reflected in its application history by combining the years of development from abroad to domestically.Find out the advantages of the engineering construction industry and its performance in the development process.Combined with the most commonly used BIM software applications in the industry,the application of BIM technology in each phase of the bridge project was discussed.The rapid modeling and visualization applications in the phase of the project,the collaborative design and information refinement in the design phase were discussed.The fine design of the model,the model and information of the construction phase,the construction organization management method,and the data collection and processing mode of the operation and maintenance phase were discussed and explored.It is hoped that we can provide reference and guidance for people in the bridge field to understand BIM by the research on BIM technology in this thesis.It contributes a meager force to the development of faster,deeper,wider,and higher applications in domestic bridge engineering in BIM technology.
