In the context of the tight supply of coal, oil and gas, some European countries such as France,Holland,Germany, and other European countries have launched a timetable for the ban on the sale of fuel vehicles. In October 2016,Germany was a big country of traditional automobile manufacturing.Germany passed a bill, which plans to ban fuel cars after 2030.In addition,Holland put forward the proposal to ban gasoline and diesel cars in 2025,and the proposal was also supported by Congress.Britain and France in 2040 to ban fuel vehicles. This China will also be on the agenda, the government has begun to study the Chinese ban fuel vehicle timetable.By the end of 2017,the number of cars in China has reached 310 million vehicles, and the sales volume of vehicles has reached 29 million 15 thousand and 400.Automobile exhaust has brought great challenges to the environment.Haze treatment is not effective.City limit number is not effective. In 2017,the sales of new energy vehicles in China amounted to 735 thousand vehicles.Compared with the total sales volume of automobiles in China, the popularity rate of new energy vehicles is low.Besides, the market of new energy vehicles is mainly the first tier cities. The transformation of automobile industry in various countries is unstoppable. Therefore,China must seize the opportunity of industrial transformation. In this way,China can improve the competitiveness of domestic new energy vehicles. The new energy vehicle industry in the US has obvious advantages in technology and development strategy. Both China and the United States are a big car consumer.China and the United States have a similar development environment. However, although we study the new energy steam time later than the US.But for now,we are still lagging behind.Besides, our environmental pollution is more serious than that in the United States. Therefore, the development of new energy vehicles in China needs to sum up and learn from the successful experience of the United States.China needs to accelerate the pace of R & D and marketing of new energy vehicles.First, this paper describes the background and significance of the topic. Then, the theoretical support of the article is given. Before introducing the competitiveness of the new energy auto industry in the United States, the development of the new energy auto industry in the main competitive countries was analyzed, include Europe,Japan and Korea.Next, this paper introduces the development and advantages of the new energy automotive industry in the US.This paper finds that the sales volume of new energy vehicles in the US is affected by the economy, showing a trend of fluctuating growth. The number of new energy vehicles in the United States continues to increase. In the US,domestic brands are more popular with consumers. The 12 cars launched by the US automakers, whose market share is 58.79%.The development of new energy vehicle industry in America benefits from some advantages in China. The United States is rich in natural resources. The new energy vehicle industry needs abundant resources of lithium, rare earth and magnesium. These resources have brought impetus to the development of new energy vehicle industry. The US's active policies and perfect industrial chain have promoted the rapid development of new energy vehicle industry. This paper analyzes the competitiveness of the new energy vehicle industry in the United States through three competitiveness indicators: market, innovation and organization. This paper finds that the US has competitive advantages in technological innovation, infrastructure construction and business operation mode. The US has no market advantage in battery industry. Moreover, the cars produced by American manufacturers have obvious disadvantages in terms of fuel economy compared with the hybrid cars produced by Europe and Japan. This paper also analyzes the future direction and challenges that the United States will face in the new energy vehicle industry. Finally, this paper expounds the development of China's new energy vehicle industry. This paper also analyzes the competitive advantages and bottlenecks of China's new energy automotive industry. Finally,it gives some suggestions based on the development path of other developed countries such as the US.
