Transmission line is the most important component of electrical power system and the most important part of realizing electric power transmission,the operating status of transmission lines directly determines the safety and effectiveness of power system.In the course of operation transmission line is galloping in a low frequency and large amplitude with the loads of wind and icing in a long duration,which would do a great threaten to the safe and reliable operation of transmission line,light such as flash over or tripping,and heavy like damage to fittings or insulators,wire broken and line broken,bolts falling off from tower and even transmission tower breaking down,which lead to major grid accident and bring huge losses to the national economy and people's social lives.With the strategic goal of Chinese strong smart grid pushing on,the pace of power grid's construction is getting faster and faster,the scale is getting bigger and bigger,therefore,the study of transmission line's galloping has great economic and social significance.This paper first lists some major accidents in power grid caused by the galloping of transmission lines,introduces the development status of online monitoring technology and anti-galloping technology of transmission lines,states the concept of galloping and it's influencing factors,analyze the mechanism of transmission line's galloping and it's excitation process in detail,establish the mathematical model of 1 degree of freedom and 3 degree of freedom for galloping of transmission line,and corresponding mathematical derivations are made.By analyzing the monitoring parameters?monitoring principles of galloping on transmission line and combining the advantages and disadvantages of existing online monitoring techniques,analyzing a method of measuring the galloping of transmission lines with acceleration transducers and the integral algorithm of acceleration measuring on galloping,based on which studying a set of online monitoring system for transmission line's galloping.Using finite element software to establish a simulation model of transmission line,and simulation analysis is conducted on the galloping of icing transmission line with wind load,then put forward a method on anti-galloping of transmission line with impact load based on the simulation result and use transient dynamic analysis to verify the feasibility of the method,finally design an anti-galloping system of transmission line with online monitoring system.
