Recent years,with the rapid development of economic,hundreds of million tons of construction waste are produced every year.The rational utilization of these waste concrete can not only solve the problem of resource shortage and ecological damage caused by over exploitation of sand and stone,but also help the sustainable development of concrete.The column is one of the most important bearing components in building structure,in order to apply the recycled aggregate to civil engineering,it is necessary to study their compression properties.In this paper,five groups of steel fiber recycled concrete columns are adopt static load test considering steel fiber volume fraction(1.2%,1.6%,2.0%)and strength grade of concrete(RC40,RC50,RC60).The failure characteristics and lateral deflection and mid-span sectional strain distribution of columns and reinforced strain and concrete strain of the recycled concrete columns are studied,and the results are compared to the finite element analysis.The following conclusions are obtained:(1)The failure modes and mechanism of recycled aggregate concrete columns are similar to the natural aggregate concrete columns,and the cross-section of steel fiber recycled concrete column is still in line with the plane section assumes during the compression process.(2)The lateral deformation of columns decreases with the increase of the strength grade of concrete under the same load,which indicates that the lateral stiffness of columns increases with the increase of concrete strength.(3)The calculation of steel fiber recycled concrete columns during eccentric compression can be calculated by the current concrete specification.(4)The current specification is suitable for the crack resistance calculation of steel fiber recycled concrete columns with large eccentricity.(5)The difference between the results of the finite element analysis and the experiment results shows that it is feasible to use ANSYS to simulate the bearing capacity of steel fiber recycled concrete column.
