Since the reform and opening up,the state has made great efforts to develop the construction industry.As of now,China's construction work volume accounts for about half of the global total,and will continue to increase in the future,Faced with such a large building market,the traditional construction technology has been unable to meet the production requirements of today's construction industry.Management chaos caused delays,poor quality,and many other engineering problem increasingly prominent.To this end,a new technology concept and new method,Building Information Modeling technology emerged.The BIM model contains a large number of geometric and non-geometric information of the project,which can be used throughout the entire life cycle of the project.It will continue to play a role in the early construction of the project and the late operation and maintenance and even the scrapped demolition stage.It is an inevitable trend of the future development of construction industry to apply BIM technology to the information management of construction projects.On the basis of studying relevant BIM literature at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the basic theory of BIM technology in detail,and takes the east square project of changsha south railway station as an engineering example to carry out engineering application,the research content mainly includes:(1)Through the analysis of the traditional technology in the working process of the project design phase,found that the traditional mode of architectural design has a lot of problems,highlight the BIM technology compared with traditional technology in the project design phase has the absolute advantage.Focused on the application of BIM technology in the program design,preliminary design and construction drawing design stages.The results show that:BIM technology can realize the integration and sharing of information between different professions at different design stages,making the design process more convenient and faster.(2)By analyzing the problems existing in the construction management of traditional projects,the application advantages of BIM technology in project construction management are highlighted.Focused on the application of BIM technology in the three major construction goals:quality,schedule,and cost.The results show that the BIM-4D construction simulation can clearly understand the entire construction process of the project,ensure the quality control effect,and improve the accuracy of project construction schedule management.The dynamic monitoring of cost information through the BIM-5D model can be used to rationalize and allocate project resources,to avoid project budget overruns,and to improve project cost control capabilities.(3)By analyzing the problems in the traditional post-operation maintenance management,the application advantages of BIM technology in the later operation and maintenance management of the project are highlighted.Focused on the application of BIM technology in building space,equipment,assets,security,etc,The results show that:BIM technology is applied to the operation and maintenance phase to prevent possible problems in advance,scientific management of the space,assets,equipment,and safety of buildings can greatly improve the operation and maintenance efficiency and reduce the cost of operation and maintenance.The research in this paper is a combination of theoretical knowledge and engineering examples of BIM technology.It is of great guiding significance to the application of BIM technology in information management of construction projects.
