Based on the many problems that traditional transmission tower in the power industry is facing,we take use of the advantages of of qualitative light,high strength,anti-corrosion,insulation of polymer composites to carry out composite transmission tower technology research and its popularization and application..To satisfied the requirement of the construction of power grid in Dandong area of Liaoning and the development trend of modern power grid in China.The main research contents and results are as follows:The electrical properties of the composites transmission tower were studied,including the electrical properties of substrate material,lightning protection grounding structure and performance.Combining with the characteristics of polyurethane resin and winding process,the base material of transmission line tower was prepared.Its performance indicators meet the SGCC requirements of 10 kv ~ 220 kv composite tower design.At the request of the guarantee the safe operation of the transmission line,110 ~ 220 kv tower of composites under the ground down lead by dangling in the line direction was the best grounding structure.In lightning protection,the lightning overvoltage calculation of composite materials was conducted to analysis overvoltage level and ray resistance and put forward lightning protection measures.At the same time,the composite tower overvoltage experiment was carried out,including the lightning impulse test,impact test,power frequency test and filth tests.Getting the filth properties of white lightning shock,impact operation,power frequency under different pollution level characteristics.Summing up the overvoltage characteristics of tower of composite materials and insulation coordination.Relying on the project,we assisted in the construction of composite transmission tower demonstration.Using lightning activity statistics of Dandong Changfeng corridor in Liaoning province,assessing lightning risk,we selected the line which had great lightning risk and ease of upgrading construction to change the design of program.We designed column in connection with the site conditions,determined the number of towers,chose the location of installation,assisted in the construction of 220 kV composite line transmission tower for lightning protection demonstration.We tested the composites tower performance by running experimental unit,researched the safety and reliability of the transmission line for lightning protection.
