In recent years,with the rapid development of information technology,big data has become an imprortant resources in the country,the society and all kinds of enterprise organization.The depth application not only helps to improve enterprise management level,but also to derivative new business model,and to promote the development of national economy.For power grid enterprises,during the computers running,repairing,and managment,there will generate large,heterogeneous,polymorphic data,named "the big data".How to make them efficient,reliab le and cheap storage,and make fast access and analysis,play the strategic assets of the data resources,improve data management and supporting capacity,implement the company information sharing,provide operational decision analysis for the enterprise management,become the important research subject.In view of the occasions of the big data in the power grid enterprises become more and more,it is necessary to summarize the current application status and the possible challenges which would appear in the future,and to provide some useful reference for the construction of the big data technology’s applications in the power grid enterprises.This paper expounds the data characteristics and the value of large data in the power grid enterprise.After giving a comprehensive narration about the grid data’s research and application status at home and abroad,also analysised the big data’s development driving force and the challenge facing in the power grid enterprises.Sistemly summarized the basic theory and technical system of big data,proposed the key areas of the power grid’s large data,analysed the application value.And on the basis of the studies above,make the application framework and the technical route of the big data in power grid enterprise been proposed.
