The research purpose of aero-engine casing containment is to ensure flight safety,which have important theoretical significance and engineering value.Compared with the single-layer case,the multi-layer case can protect uniform clearance of blade tip and delay the recession of the engine performance.The investigation on multi-layer case containment is vital for the development of aero-engine.The main researches are as follows:To solve the containment ability problem of double metal casing,12 targeting experiments were completed by using smoothbore gun,and the numerical simulation was carried out using explicit transient dynamic software.The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results,which verifies the authenticity and reliability of the numerical simulation.Through further numerical simulation,the following conclusions are drawn:The containment curve obtained by simulation can predict the actual containment results accurately,and it is necessary to carry out pre-test simulation.The targeting simulation results coincide with the real casing containment results of rotating blade impact,which can be used in numerical simulation of real casing containment.When the blade hits the target plate with moderate pitch angle,the critical containment speed increases linearly with the increase of pitch angle.With the increase of blade pitch angle,the blade energy consumption increases,the impacting time decreases,and the target rips change frorm slender rectangular rips to a wide range of rips.The containment ability of bolt joint has been studied systematically.Some analysis research on the influences of impacting blade with roll angle and impacting position.When the blades hit the casing at the same speed,the blade hitting casing with parallel attitude to the flange makes the bolt failure easier than the blade hitting casing with perpendicular attitude to the flange.The bolts are easier break when impacting area is in flange area.Compared the containment ability of double-layer casing with three-layer casing,the containment of three-layer casing is between the best containment thickness set and weaker containment set of two-layer casing when they are under the same total casing thickness.But the displacement of the three-layer casing target is smaller than double-layer casing.
