This paper completes the design of a dual-arm structure of a new type of hedge trimmer.Compared with the existing structure,this structure has the advantages of strong adaptability,complete function,stronger security and stability and so on.It can efficiently complete the slope vegetation's pruning,and can also efficiently complete the pruning of top and profile side of the central isolation belt hedge at the same time.It solves two major problems,one is that it is difficult for single-arm hedge trimmer to prune slope vegetation,the other is that single-arm hedge trimmer has low pruning efficiency.Relying on a highway hedgerow maintenance project and relevant requirement,firstly this paper confirms the configuration design scheme of double Working arms of hedge Trimmer,and it accomplishes parameter design of this structure by conceptual design.After it the 3D parameterized model of double Working arms is established by using Solidwork software,and the typical working conditions of the work are analyzed,then the conclusion is drawn that the structural design of the arms' frame meets the requirements of the work.Based on the finite element method and the theory of mechanical structure mechanics,statics analysis of two arms under different working conditions is established by DM module of ANSYS Workbench software,and the conclusion is drawn that the initial design of the arm conforms to the requirement of the strength and stiffness.In addition,this paper also uses goal driver optimization technology to carried out the result of light weight optimization design of the initial design of the double arms' structure,then the structural design parameters and the statics analysis results of the optimized double arms are obtained.Finally,the analysis of vibration characteristics and the modal analysis of the optimized double arms' structure is completed,various excitation frequencies and first six order natural frequency of both arms are obtained,by the contrast between them,it is concluded that resonance will not occur.The modal analysis provides a reliable basis for avoiding resonance and resistance to fatigue damage.
