With the extensive use of electric power steering systems(EPS)in automobiles,the performance tests mostly rely on EPS test benches.During the development of EPS test bench,the driver needs to turn the steering wheel to test under different test conditions,and evaluate the EPS performance according to the feedback force of the steering wheel,which is often time-consuming and laborious to liberate the driver.It is difficult to establish a set of quantified EPS performance evaluation indicators for individual differences in drivers.Therefore,it would be meaningful to develop a servo motion system with good position following and quick response instead of driver steering.Firstly,this article discusses the domestic and foreign research status of the EPS test bench and the working characteristics of the servo simulation device.Based on the research of servo motor,the control scheme of the servo motion system in this paper is determined.According to the overall scheme and organization of the EPS test bench,the hardware structure of the servo motion system was determined.A set of real-time control systems and motion components developed by National Instruments Corporation are used to perform wiring and connection of each part of the hardware according to the system requirements.Then,according to the composition of each part of the servo control system,the fuzzy self-adaptive PID control of the position follow ability of the servo motor is studied.Using vector control with i_d=0 to construct servo motor vector control model structure.In MATLAB/Simulink,each part of the servo control system simulation model and the servo motor vector control overall simulation model under different control methods are established.And use the simulation signal module to give the position input quantity of the system,and carry out the servo motor vector control system simulation under different control methods.Then,using LabVIEW to design and develop servo motor control programs and motion programs.Based on the hardware structure of the servo motion system and the developed motion control program,the hardware-in-the-loop test of the servo motion system under different control methods given the input amount of the system.Finally,the simulation results and test results are analyzed.It shows that the fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm used in the position control of the servo system is helpful to improve the position follow ability and response characteristics of the servo motor.At the same time,the servo motor motion program is used to further verify that the servo motion system in the established EPS test bench can meet the steering test performance requirements.
