In recent years,with the development and progress of our society,people put forward higher requirements on the seismic performance and function of the green adobe building.However,traditional rammed earth dwellings are widely used in rural areas worldwide,with poor mechanical properties and weak seismic resistance,in the previous earthquakes,these structures are damaged very seriously.Currently,the domestic research of rammed earth dwellings is mainly focused on the mechanical properties,but the study of the seismic performance is less.Based on this,the modern rammed earth construction techniques is proposed in this paper,and the shaking table test of modern rammed earth structure and the pseudo-static test of rammed earth wall were conducted to study their seismic performance.The main research contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:1.Aiming at the shortages of the traditional rammed earth construction techniques,this paper presents the modern rammed earth construction techniques,including the construction technology,the crack mending technology,and the exterior walls spraying technology,and use these techniques to build and repair the rammed earth dwelling.2.This paper takes the rammed earth dwelling as an object,through simulated earthquake shaking table test,the failure pattern,failure mechanism,dynamic characteristics,acceleration reaction,displacement reaction,steel's strain of the rammed earth structure under the different acceleration peak intensity of the earthquake were studied,and the shaking table test result of two similar rammed earth dwellings was compared and analized.The results show that,the use of the modern rammed earth technology has greatly improved the seismic performance of rammed earth dwellings,under the effect of 9 degree super rare earthquake,the modern rammed structure has not yet appeared a large area of collapse or damage phenomenon.3.In order to study the seismic performance of the three different reinforcement types of rammed earth wall(the rammed earth wall reinforced with steel bars,the rammed earth wall reinforced with concrete frame,the rammed earth wall reinforced with steel frame),the research group determined the compressive strength,shear strength,cohesive force and internal friction angle of the soil samples through compressive test and direct shear test,and further conducted the pseudo-static test on the wall,observed the failure mode of the wall,and studied the seismic performance of the wall.The results show that,the reinforcement methods proposed in this paper effectively improves the seismic performance of rammed earth wall.To sum up,the modern rammed earth construction techniques proposed in this paper can be used to improve the seismic performance of rammed earth structures,thus expanding the using range of rammed earth dwellings,and improving the regional features,ecological features,and aesthetics of the countryside.
