With the rapid development of productivity and technology in the context of modernization,the mysterious veil of religious theology has been gradually removed,which makes the religious theology step down the altar and gradually secularize.In the process,the status and functions of religious buildings have also undergone a series of changes,which have experienced the process from the grand to the flat.In the society where the rationality and science is the highest,it is the author' issues of concern that religious buildings how to adapt and make a corresponding change which could make it possible to carry on the characteristics and keep up with the pace of the times.This thesis mainly study the theory and the causes of religious secularization,combined with the case of southern Buddhism's religious secularization and which's factor and expression in Dai national minority area.Also give the explanation of Myanmar temple's status and function change during the progress with analyzing the development direction of religious building in future,which how to extend history at the same time expanding new functions.This thesis is based on the Guangyun Myanmar temple's on-the-spot investigation,using the case of the Guangyun Myanmar temple's reconstruction and expansion as design topic,also respond to the problems such as religious secularization,urbanization of the surrounding environment with design,taking this research to puts forward the design strategy of religious architecture in the background of religious secularization.It is hoped that the combination of religious secularization research and architecture will provide new ideas for the continuation of the historical features of religious architecture and its future development.
