Being an effective measure of peak shaving,frequency regulation and emergency reserve,hydropower is playing a more significant role in stable operation of the power systems.The condition-based maintenance technique is used to monitor the operation state of the hydropower units.Compared with traditional overhaul methods,the condition-based maintenance approach is capable of superior safety and economy,which is widely implemented for the hydropower units promisingly.The condition-based maintenance is achieved by leveraging the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis techniques.This paper focuses on the research about vibration monitoring for hydropower units under different causes of vibration.The steps of vibration signal analysis include signal acquisition,signal preprocessing,the fast Fourier algorithm,spectrum correction,etc.Simulation analysis demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the frequency domain analysis algorithm.This thesis developed a vibration monitoring and analysis system software based on C++ platform using WinSock programming method,and MATLAB mixed programming method.Specifically,the software can realize the Ethernet communication between the system and the lower computer,preprocess the data obtained through acquisition system,deal with the signal in time-domain and frequency-domain,and display the results in charts.This system is of rich functions,good stability and friendly man-machine interface,and easy maintenance.
