The Chinese Formula Student Car Contest(FSC)is organized by the China Automotive Engineering Society.It is a racing car design and manufacturing competition attended by university students majoring in automobile.Because the rules of the game require the addition of a 20 mm restrictor valve to the air intake system of the engine,the original electronic control system does not match it,resulting in a drop in engine performance and inability to meet the requirements of highly competitive events.Therefore,designing and fabricating a new air intake system to match the new electronic control system and control parameters has become one of the important issues faced by the participating teams.This article takes the SUZUKI_GSX_R600 engine as the research object.After selecting the appropriate dynamometer and ECU(MoTec_M84),the redesign and processing of the driveshaft and the intake and exhaust system,the engine calibration test bench was successfully built.Based on the selected ECU,redesign,fabricate and connect the circuit system and debug it.Then select and calibrate each sensor for normal operation.Before the engine calibration test,through the analysis of the track data of the friends' team,the MAP area was reasonably divided and the calibration working point was selected.Four sets of air intake system combination tests are performed using a comprehensive test method to ensure test accuracy.Use a simple comparison test to determine the range of control parameters.Use a series of orthogonal experiments to reduce the number of trials and analyze the level of factor credibility.After formulating the main MAPs such as fuel injection and ignition,corresponding compensation amendments were made to ensure that the engine has a good adaptability under various operating conditions.After the calibration bench test,the test data is analyzed to find out the influence of each control parameter on the engine performance.By comparing the external characteristics of the engine before and after calibration,it is found that the average power is 10.71% higher than that of the original machine,and the average torque is increased by 15.52%.The overall reached the level of China's upper middle reaches.Finally,the team won the second prize of the 2017 FSC and it is also the best result in the history of the team.
