With the deployment of the more and more stringent emission regulations, much higher requirements on engine dynamics and economy and emission are proposed by the industries. The engine electronic control technologies have been seen as a reliable solution for this.Along with the rapid development of engine electronic control technologies, engine control strategy is becoming more and more complex, there are more and more parameters to be calibrated and optimized, and the relationships between variables of a performance indicators is becoming more complicated. Therefore, the research on engine calibration technology has been continuously elaborated, which also places higher requirements on the engine calibration system and software. As an important tool for calibration and optimization of control parameters, the calibration software is crucial to improve calibration efficiency and reduce calibration costs of the engine electronic control system. The thesis is mainly divided into three parts. The first part is the research on the calibration methods of the control parameters of engine electronic control system.Through the study, the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly used calibration methods are stated.A combined calibration method based on Boost and Matlab model-based pre-calibration is applied on a new developed electronically controlled engine, and the four major processes have been completed:(1)Use Boost to establish the physical model of the engine;(2)Design the experimental conditions of the engine(3)Establish engine mathematical model;(4)Use MBC toolbox for calibration optimization. The second part is to study the calibration software involved in the development of the electronic control calibration system. The functional requirements of the calibration software are elaborated, and its main modules are detail designed by using LabVIEW software. The major functional modules of the calibration software include CAN bus transceiver module,CCP driver module, data calibration function module,ASAP2 file analysis module, and data acquisition module. The third part is to verify the design and development of the electronically controlled engine calibration software. The air-fuel ratio analysis combined with the exhaust analysis method is used to perform a simple matching calibration test on an electronically controlled engine. The mapping of the basic control parameters is finished, and the emission data of HC and CO is acquired, and online real-time monitoring of engine state parameters is realized. In conclusion, the combining calibration method based on Boost and Matlab can improve the economic efficiency and dynamic performance of the engine, and at the same time,it enables the development designer to pre-calibrate the engine at the beginning of its design and can initially predict the performance of the engine and provide the necessary basis for the further design.By developing the calibration software and the experiment testing on a new developed engine, the initial testing results validate the functions of the entire calibration system. It is verified that the designed calibration software basically meets the predetermined requirements.
