Investigation Of Arterial Highway Freight Volume And Study On The Relatedness Between Freight Volume And GDP Of Ningbo

Transport is a basic,leading,strategic and service industry for the national economy.It provides transport services for the production sector,connects production and consumption and serves as the carrier of the national economy.It is inseparable from the economic development.As an important part of an integrated transport system,highway freight transport plays an indispensable role.The current statistics on the highway freight volume are based on the place where the vehicle register.It reflects the actual state of freight transport at the national level,but it deviates from the actual freight transport status at the provincial or municipal level.There is a misalignment of statistics between highway freight volume and GDP.Freight transport of Ningbo has the characteristics of a typical developed city.There are a large number of ecdemic trucks participating in the highway freight transport of Ningbo.However,the amount of cargo transported by ecdemic trucks has not been included in the current freight volume which cannot reflect the actual conditions of highway freight transport in Ningbo.This paper studies the relatedness between arterial highway freight volume and GDP at level of road network.This paper constructs the data system of highway freight transport in Ningbo,obtaining the transport data of expressway,national highway and provincial highways which is investigated through scientific active and non-active investigation.This paper use SQL Server database management system to analyse freight transport characteristics on the arterial highways of Ningbo,which include communion with neighboring province and city,status of vehicle registration and types of cargo.This paper introduce the grey relational analysis method and use three different grey relational degree models to quantitatively study the relatedness between arterial highway freight volume and the added value of primary,secondary and tertiary industry of Ningbo.The result shows that the secondary industry has the highest relational degree with arterial highways freight volume,followed by the tertiary industry and the primary industry.It also carries out a qualitative analysis in light of highway transport and industrial development.Based on the analysis of arterial highway freight transport of Ningbo and grey relational analysis,this paper raise four suggestions including strengthening regional cooperation and expanding the freight market,enhancing the competitiveness of trucks that registers in Ningbo,improving the service quality of highway container transportation and optimizing the industrial structure.These suggestions provide decision basis for the Ningbo government departments.
