In recent years,with the development of urban economy and changes in urban structure of the layout,characters of residents' trip undergone major changes.Due to the increasing of private vehicles and trip distance,more and more people choose travel by car,leading to short-term surge of traffic flow in one direction,especially peak tidal flow occur regularly.The tidal traffic congestion is the urgent problem to be solved,which is an important factor to restrict the development of urban traffic.Because of the influence of the urban structure and the limitation of the urban road conditions,the simple road improvement or signal optimization is difficult to solve the substantive problem,which can't restrain the increasing traffic demand.The coordinated control of the variable lane and the signal is the effective solution to the current.In this paper,regarding the urban arterial roads as the subject and aiming at its flow running characters,we researched the application setting of variable lane,established setting model of tidal lane?guide variable lane?coordination of tidal lane and variable lane,and optimized green wave control,the achievement of which will provide technical support and theoretical basis for urban traffic congestion to resolve.Research contents as follows:The first part,analysis on the unbalanced characteristics of traffic flow.Research and analysis traffic flow characteristics of tidal traffic flow and turning traffic flow,formation causes and two traffic flow of the mutual influence.Comprehensive analysis,a measure to determine the various types of traffic flow uneven coefficient,road sections and intersections of the disequilibrium of balance.Finally,based on the analysis of the characteristics of traffic flow,the change of traffic flow characteristic is analyzed.The second part,research on single point coordinated optimization control of variable direction lane.For turning traffic flow unbalanced phenomena of intersection,based on intersection guide variable lane model and reverse variable lane model,to established tidal,guide variable coordination optimization model,and carry out the control optimization of the re distribution of the intersection that is setted variable lane.The third part,research on optimization control of the route of variable lane.Combined with arterial coordination control optimization theory,based on the traffic flow characteristics analysis under the influence of variable lane,with green wave control theory as the basic concept,optimize the cycle and green ratio,phase sequence,and analysis the influence of queue length for the phase difference,to determine the actual queue lengths to optimize the phase difference,approach the actual green wave control method optimization.The forth part,research on control of the variable under the intersection group influence.Based on the traffic flow operation characteristics of intersection group and the influence of critical path,for the trunk road that set tidal Lane,consider coordinately traffic impact of the around intersection,so as not to generate overflow condition,carry out signal control optimization analysis by the use of line-drawing combined method.
