The cause of typical various disease of asphalt pavement is due to poor weather conditions on the high alpine and high altitude areas.With the detection data of G109 and G318,this paper lists the common disease types and analysis the reasons.With the disease characteristic,this paper lists evaluation index of pavement performance on the high alpine and high altitude areas,and the evaluation index contains pavement surface condition index,riding road index,rutting depth index,pavement structure strength index,crack rate and wave subsidence.By the two ways named Principal Component Analysis and Entropy Method,this paper calculates the weight value and pavement quality performance index value on the basis of detection data.By the test of DSR,BBR and indoor UV aging test,the characteristic of the six kind of asphalt were analysised.From the perspective of asphalt selection,the mechanism of pavement distress under different climatic conditions is analyzed in order to solve or delay the occurrence of early diseases on asphalt pavement.(1)The conclusion of DSR is: the performance of high temperature resistance to rutting increases along with decreasing temperature and increasing scanning frequency.The grade of asphalt for the high temperature performance is the lower the better.With the same scanning frequency,the influence of the temperature on the high temperature anti-rut performance is more important than the kind of the asphalt.As the same temperature and the same scanning frequency,the basic asphalt is better than the SBR modified asphalt on the high temperature anti-rut performance.(2)The conclusion of the BBR test is: the lower the test temperature,the worse the low temperature crack resistance of asphalt pavement.As the same temperature,the low temperature performance increases along with decreasing the grade of asphalt.And the SBR modified asphalt is better than the basic asphalt with the same grade on the low temperature performance.(3)The conclusion of the indoor UV aging test is: the SBR modified asphalt is better than the basic asphalt on the aging performance.From the aspects of design principle,design process and design index,this paper puts forward some notices suitable for the design of asphalt pavement in high alpine and high altitude areas.According to the engineering characteristics of the new rebuilt projects in high altitudes and high altitude areas and the engineering characteristics of the large and middle repair projects,the improvement proposals for the pavement design scheme are put forward to prolong service life and service level of the asphalt pavement in high alpine and high altitude areas.
