The desert area is vast and widely distributed in China,the traffic areas is extremely inconvenient in many desert and road materials are also scarce.These factors seriously restrict the economic development in the desert area.Therefore,it is very necessary to collect materials(aeolian sand)for local transportation.At present it is a more effective way to improve the performance of the aeolian sand and is applied to the base of the road,the key to the application of this method lies in the study of curing technology and curing agent.This subject takes the FCS series curing agent as the research basis.By analyzing the active source of the curing agent,three kinds of activators are added to replace the sodium hydroxide and silica fume.The mixture ratio of the curing agent is designed by orthogonal test and the results of the mortar test are used to determine the best effect of calcium chloride added to the activator,so the mixing method(6%,8%,10%,12%)is added into the aeolian sand to carry out the compaction test,the unconfined compression strength test and the splitting test.The unconfined compressive strength of 7d age of mixture is greater than that of FCS-type I curing agent,and is similar to FCS-type II curing agent.In addition,the dosage of the curing agent in dry shrinkage test,temperature shrinkage test and freeze-thaw test is determined as 8% and 10% for the unconfined compression strength of 7d under the highway pavement base construction technical rules(JTG/TF20-2015)with two and two levels of heavy traffic,extreme heavy traffic and heavy traffic.In order to objectively evaluate the effect of the curing agent on the mechanical properties and stability properties of the above test,the comparison of the common portland cement with the same amount was added.The results showed that the curing agent showed some advantages in the above two aspects.Therefore,this subject provides important scientific basis for the application of curing agent in the subbase of desert road.
