As China's socialism enters a new era,China's transportation industry has also made new progress.New requirements for strength and durability of road materials are also put forward.From a new angle of view,the high and low temperature performance of asphalt mixture blended with basalt fiber is studied from the angle of creep.First,the feasibility of adding basalt fiber in the road materials to improve the high and low temperature performance of the asphalt mixture is analyzed from the mechanism of the interaction between the fiber and the asphalt mixture.Secondly,AC-16 mixture gradation and the optimum asphalt content under different fiber content were determined in the laboratory.The influence that different mixing methods has on the strength of basalt fiber asphalt mixture is analyzed by splitting test.The best mixing method and sample forming process were determined by splitting test.Then the basalt fiber is added into the AC-16 asphalt mixture to explore the self height low temperature performance parameters,and to verify the consistency of the theoretical analysis and the scientific practice.The effect and mechanism of basalt fiber reinforced asphalt mixture at high and low temperature are revealed from macroscopic creep angle and microscopic theory angle.The main contents and results of this paper are as follows:(1)The mechanism of interaction between fiber and mixture is analyzed from different mechanical models(composite material theory and interfacial chemistry theory),and the physical and mechanical properties of fiber and chemical stability are investigated.Through consulting the literature to compare the mechanical advantages of basalt fiber compared with wood fiber and polyester fiber,the principle of adsorption,adhesion,reinforcement,cracking,toughening and strength formation between basalt fiber and asphalt mixture is studied.(2)The optimum asphalt content of basalt fiber asphalt mixture with different content is determined through the indoor Marshall test design of the mixture ratio of AC-16 mixture,and the molding process and mixing method of the specimen are explored.The influence of dry mixing method,wet mixing method and new mixing method on the strength of the specimen is analyzed by splitting test,and the best mixing method of basalt fiber asphalt mixture is selected to provide theoretical guidance and data support for engineering construction.The experiment shows that the new mixing method is the most ideal molding process.(3)For different bituminous mixtures(0%,0.2%,0.3%,0.4% and 0.5%),the samples are prepared under the optimum asphalt content.The creep properties of basalt fiber asphalt mixture at different temperatures(40,50 and 60 ?)and different axial forces(0.7MPa,0.9MPa and 1.1MPa)were studied by three axis creep test.The influence of fiber content,temperature and load on high temperature performance of asphalt mixture is analyzed.The results show that the high temperature performance of asphalt mixture with basalt fiber is higher than that of matrix asphalt mixture,and the optimum content of basalt fiber asphalt mixture is 0.4%.(4)Through trabecular bending test,the low temperature performance of asphalt mixture with different amount of basalt fiber is improved 10% as the axial force of the creep test was obtained by the bending test of the trabeculae,and the creep rate was used to analyze the low temperature performance of the mixture at different temperatures(-20,-10 and 0?).The results show that the maximum load corresponding to the maximum load at the bending failure of the trabeculae is 0.4%.At the same temperature,the slowest creep rate of the basalt fiber asphalt mixture is also 0.4%.(5)Through three axis creep test,trabecular bending test and bending creep test,the improvement of the high and low temperature properties of the pavement with the added fiber was investigated,and the optimum amount of basalt fiber was determined.The results show that the high and low temperature properties of the basalt fiber mixed with asphalt mixture are all improved in different degrees.The optimum content of basalt fiber based on the high and low temperature performance test results of AC-16 asphalt mixture is 0.4%.
