The north area of China is rich in wind resources.But in the northern region during the winter heating period,a large number of heating units operate in the "power determined by heat" mode,limiting the ability to adjust the output power,and the regulation rate of traditional thermal power unit is slower.All above lead to power system can’t provide adequate regulation ability and reserve capacity,resulting in a large number of wind curtailment.Therefore,enhancing the regulation ability and reserve capacity of the northern region power system,heightening system’s flexibility to solve the problem of wind curtailment is imminent.Taking advantage of rapid response and adjustment ability of gas turbine can make up the insufficient regulation ability of traditional thermal power units and promote renewable energy consumption.However,in the existing power system dispatch,the gas network constraints only influence the feasibility of the gas turbine output,and there is no consideration of whether the gas turbine units having spare capacity and the reserve capacity.Therefore,it is necessary to consider about the interaction and limitations between the grid and the natural gas network.First,aiming at the problem of thermal units’ inefficient adjustment ability which leading to wind curtailment,this paper taking advantage of rapid response and adjustment ability of gas turbine to promote system regulation capability.This paper establishes the economic dispatch model of the power system considering the adjustment ability of the gas turbine unit without considering the limitation of gas network.The simulation results show that the rapid regulation of gas turbine can promote the curtailment of wind power.Then,in order to solve the problem that the existing dispatch model does not consider the influence of gas network constraints on the reserve capacity and reserve ability of the gas turbine.We propose an economic dispatch and reserve configuration model considering the gas network constraints,considering the gas turbine unit’s reserve output range as an uncertain load of the natural gas network side,using idea of robust optimization to test whether the gas turbine unit’s reserve output range is feasible.The influence of gas network constraints on the dispatch results are explained by an example,and the influence of the natural gas load fluctuation on the economic dispatch results is emphasized.Finally,to cope with the uncertainty of wind power and deal with the problem that using deterministic optimization which increasing the reserve by equal proportion can easy to cause the over configuration of the reserve and lead to the high cost of the dispatch results.Therefore,this paper presents a robust economic dispatch and reserve configuration model considering wind power uncertainty and gas network constraints.By combining the gas-electricity economic dispatch and reserve configuration model and the robust optimization method,this model avoids arranging too much reserve to cause the uneconomical dispatch result.The simulation results illustrate the influence of robust optimization on the economic dispatch and reserve configuration and the economic advantage of the above method is verified.
