The development of modern manufacturing industry has put forward higher requirements for detection technology,Manufacturing products is constantly expanded,the requirements of user are constantly increasing,modern manufacturing is becoming more and more emphasis on real-time on-line and non-contact measurement.The measurement technology based on machine vision is developed in recent years,it is a new method of automated nondestructive testing,machine vision detection system can make the machine like a human,through visual observation to identify objects,and automated control.It has the characteristics of fast speed,good stability,high accuracy,easy maintenance and so on,meet the requirements for the progress and development of modern manufacturing,showed a broad application prospect in practice.As the output of the automobile in China is increasing,the demand of the gear ring that the important parts of the gearbox is increasing too.But,It is inevitable that the defect will appear in the processing,which seriously affect the quality and service life of the ring.The problem of this research is that the synchronizer gear ring is irregularity,brought great difficulty in the detection process,the traditional detection method is artificial use measuring instruments to measure,not only inefficient,but also brought some man-made factors in the process of detection,it can lead the test result affected by human,makes the measurement result inaccurate.So,we need to adopt a new method of measuring accurate and convenient,reduce the artificial measurement.In this way,we can improve the efficiency and accuracy of gear ring size detection.The large circular workpiece has a higher requirement for the camera,and the common camera detection method is not suitable,and the method of accuracy measuring of large gear ring is derived.The main content of the research is to developed a synchronizer ring size detection platform;developed the synchronizer ring online detection software,it can detect different types of tooth ring of the tooth height,tooth distance and tooth defect.Using machine vision technology,access to the tooth ring external contour features,Through image processing we can obtain tooth height,tooth distance and tooth defect.Then through the comparison with the set size parameter,to achieve the purpose of whether ring gear is qualified.In the process of experiment and research,it will use a variety of image processing algorithms,such as binarization processing,noise reduction processing and so on.Using UG to design automotive synchronizer gear ring testing equipment,on the basis of the hardware,the system detection platform is built;Programming the synchronizer gear ring detection software with Delphi.Using industrial camera to photograph the workpieces and input the original picture to software.Analysis the element pixels,make Original image to grayscale transformation,binarization processing,noise reduction processing.By these methods to reduce the influence of outside interference of image;At last,by machine vision software scanning and analysis the total pixels,that measure the synchronizer gear ring size and whether it has the characteristics of the helical tooth defect.The test results indicating that this method can meeting the requirements of industrial production,reducing human labor,and improve the detection efficiency.It has the advantages of real-time dynamic,high accuracy and reliability.The rapid tooth shape detection system can create greater value for the enterprise.
