The safety of the ship has important significance to ensure water safety of life and property and prevent water pollution caused by ship.As an important means to ensure the safety of the ship,the inland ship's safety inspection gets more attention to maritime agencies and shipping company.However,the work staff of inland ship'ssafety inspection officers is heavy,their business ability is irregular and carry out safety inspection by selective examination mainly.It is difficult to accurately identify safety defects.Therefore,the inland ship's safety inspectionwork is in urgent need of scientific methods to improve the efficiency of the work.With the development of the maritime information,the marine management organization uses the ship's dynamic management system to carry on the record to the ship safety inspection,having accumulated a large number of defect data for ship's safety inspection.However,basic data analysis means is difficult to deal with an increasing amount ofship's defect data.The data mining technology which has the massive data processing capability and efficient knowledge discovery ability is very suitable for study on the inland ship's safetydefects.Through the data mining technology based on the knowledge discovery research to the inland ship'sdefect data,we may discover the implicit association rule of the inland ship's safetydefects.This can help safety inspectors accurately locate the ship's defects,and have great significance for improving the level of inland ship safety inspection,improving the quality of the ship's self-inspection and ensuring the safety of water transportation.Based on the ship's safety inspection data from ChangJiang Maritime Safety Administration and the research project “Inland ship safety inspection intelligent disposal system”,combined with the data structure and integrity constraints of the database technology and the performance of the algorithm of the software programming technology to do a comprehensive analysis,the data model and the efficiency requirement of the defect datafor inland ship's inspection are summarized.Based on this,the special software which support the studyis developed,and the method of association rules mining is summarized,which is suitable for inland ship safety inspection: Combined with the current situation of theChangJiangMaritime Bureau area safety business,the original defect data is stored in the database through the knowledge discovery process,and the Apriori algorithm is used to develop the association rules mining software for inland ship'ssafety inspection,The software is used tomine association rules.Through the reliability analysis of the mining results by the confidence and the lift principle,the support threshold value of the data mining is adjusted according to the analysis results.The results show that reliable inland ship'ssafety of association rules can be obtained by this method.
