This paper takes the urban intersection as the research object,uses the microscopic simulation technology to construct the intersection model and uses the traffic conflict assessment technology to evaluate the intersection model safety.Changing the traffic parameters,and determine the length of optimal guide lane line from traffic efficiency and safety.Get the influence law of the traffic environment parameters on the length of the optimal guide lane line.This law can provide a basis for road planning and design organs and traffic management departments on reasonably setting the length of the guide lane line.This paper firstly introduces the principle and applicability of traffic safety assessment methods,and describes the conflict assessment techniques used by the Surrogate Safety Assessment Model(SSAM)and the basic algorithms for identifying conflicts in detail.Then the traffic model used in the microscopic simulation technology was introduted.The disired speed,lane width,and traffic volume are selected as the traffic parameters that are assumed to affect the setting of the length of the guide lane line according to the "Road Traffic Signs and Markings"(GB5768-2009)etc.Set the parameter level and design the test,then run the simulation model software and trace file.TRJ and traffic efficiency evaluation parameters were outputted.The agent safety evaluation model is used to identify the conflict.According to the conflict data and traffic efficiency parameters,the length of the optimal guide lane line is selected.And the analysis of variance is used to obtain the significance of the influence of each traffic parameter on the length of the guide lane line.Finally,the actual case is used to prove the effectiveness of the conslusions.The results show that the rear end collision is the main conflict type near the intersection,and the change of total conflict is mainly caused by the change of the rear end collision.The traffic flow will significantly affect the optimal length of the guide lane line.The greater the traffic flow is,the longer the optimal length of the lane line length is;Expected speed has a certain influence on the optimal length of the guide lane line.The greater the expected speed is,the length of the optimal guide lane line should be extended properly;Lane width has no significant influence on the length of the guide lane line.When the traffic volume is small,the length of the guide lane line has no significant effect on the intersection delay time;when the traffic volume is large,the length of the guide lane line can reduce the delay time of the intersection and improve the traffic efficiency of the intersection.For cross-shaped intersections,the optimal guide lane length is 30 m when the traffic flow of single inlet is below 700veh/h.When the traffic flow of single inlet is between 700veh/h-900veh/h,the length of the guide lane line is proposed to be set up as 30m-35 m.When the traffic flow of single inlet is between 900veh/ h-1100veh/h,the length of the guide lane line is suggested as 45m-70m;When the single inlet vehicle flow is greater than 1100veh/h,the guide lane length is suggested as 55m-100 m.The conclusion of the study provides a reference for the setting of the length of the guide lane line at the intersection,which is of great significance for improving road safety.
