Safety Assessment Of Taxi Lane Changing Behavior At Urban Intersection Entrance

Intersections are places where traffic accidents occur frequently.A large number of vehicles have conflicting effects at the intersection because of driving demand.Among these drivers,taxi drivers,as a special driving group,have the characteristics of skilled driving,long working hours and high working pressure.While pursuing efficiency,taxi drivers will change lane frequently to meet the requirements of passengers getting on and off at the same time.Therefore,it is necessary to study the safety of taxi lane change at urban road intersections.This paper takes relevant video for data processing,studies the time,position and speed characteristics of taxi lane-changing at urban road intersections,analyses the vehicle characteristics of the local lane and the target lane during lane-changing,and compares the lane-changing characteristics of taxi and car.The result describes the behavior of taxi lane-changing comprehensively.Through questionnaires,the paper do descriptive statistics on the influencing factors of taxi lane change behavior,establishes the structural equation model from five aspects: personal attributes,lane-changing attributes,environmental impact,passenger impact and lane-changing purpose,calculates the results of the influencing factors on taxi lane-changing behavior at intersections.While,the paper compares the conflict caused by taxi diversion behavior at intersections,analyses the related factors by using Ordered Probit model,calculates the marginal effect of the significant influencing factors and analyses the impact of each factor on the conflict of taxi diversion behavior at intersections.Based on the structural equation modeling and conflict evaluation results,combined with the actual situation,this paper puts forward relevant management measures from the aspects of taxi operation companies,passengers,law enforcement departments and social vehicles,so as to provide protection for taxis to adopt more legal and effective lane change behavior.
